MORE THAN 700 REFEREES MEET FOR THE XV EDITION OF THE RETRAINING EVENT AT HOTEL ANTEQUERA
More than 700 football referees gathered this morning for the XV edition of the Retraining Days that is organised annually at Hotel Antequera. This event was opened by the President of the Andalusian Technical Committee for Referees, Felipe Santos, and the Mayor of Antequera, Manuel Barón.
Following the opening ceremony, commemorative gifts from the city of Antequera were distributed among the political and sporting authorities participating at the event.
The presentations at this retraining and learning event will involve important personalities, such as Joaquín Yuste (who will attend the World Cup in Brasil along with Velasco Carballo), the ex-assistant manager for the female football team, María Luisa Villa, the young international referee, Jesús Gil Manzano, and the international referee from Almeria, David Fernández Borbalán, who is currently the best Andalusian referee on a European level.
This is the eight consecutive event in this series held in Antequera. It has enjoyed the collaboration of the Area for Sports of the Local Government of Antequera and the CTA's Regional Division in Antequera, with its manager, José Toro, leading the organisation.
